Hanh Nguyen's work has been stated by:

Victoria Looseleaf, Los Angeles Times, a premier work "Study the flow of Chi" at Highways Performance Space, a Dance Moving Forward dance festival, as "Serene and graceful...as well as power in stillness". And at SOLA Contemporary Dance Festival November 2002, Victoria Looseleaf gives "Gotcha" work "Infused with razor-sharp martial arts moves and performed to live percussion and ferociously reverberated guitar, the daring work throbbed with unpredictability."

Daily Breeze, Torrance by Elizabeth Khuri gives Hanh her first review ""Ocean Form" blended martial arts and modern dance. The dancers from Nguyen's group, Notoriety, Inc., displayed a strong quality of movement, using their bodies to melt and thrust with tranquil coolness. Like the tides Nguyen's piece rose and fell hypnotically." Michael Rydzynski, Irvine World News, commented, "Nguyen used many different types of musical accompaniments...each work differed from one another, yet amazingly offered a strong sense of balance and symmetry overall."

Diane Monroe, Beverly Hills Outlook, who gave Hanh a dance review at the Irvine Barclay Theatre, said, "...there was an incredible mix of discipline...Hanh Nguyen has integrated her work in the martial arts, modern dance and yoga to come up with her very even, very consistent choreography...."
A review performance of Dance between Camera at Ivar Theatre of august 2003, "Instinct Gratification" was the most cohesive work of the evening, using a script as well as live music. My personal favorite, this one had a certain flair to it that included acervity."

Though universally thematic, the work explores organic incoherence and wandering abstracts; it possesses a creative, humorous, and distinctive use of dimensions and space.

Andrew Milhan, Technical Director for the California State University Long Beach Dance Department, comments, "I have been impressed with the originality of Nguyen's body of work...found her to be a very creative, imaginative, and inventive choreographer."
"Game Over", a Notoriety, Inc. signature work, draws on the technology and video games of Japanese Animation. Martial arts movements shape the choreography, evoking power, circularity, climax, and the intensity of the game.

Susan McLain, a solo artist and former principal dancer with Martha Graham Dance Company, and Associate Professor of Dance at CSULB, comments, "...Hanh showed real skill in creating movement material that beautifully relayed the theme of this piece."

Jeff Slayton, a professional with Merce Cunningham Dance Company and a principal dancer with Viola Farber Dance Company, said "Game Over" "...showed a wonderful sense of risk taking and wonderful imagination."

Judy Allen, Chair Dance Department of Ca. State University Long Beach – Especially as a choreographer, Hanh seems to have a special calling…in every respect, she has the fortitude, creativity, and sense of responsibility...

Victoria Marks, UCLA professor, choreographer – ""Hidden Strength" a brilliant work with poetry."

Laura Dennis, teacher, dancer, PHD student – "The sense of development of movement ideas, of progression through space and movement invention itself was all enlightening, relaxing and intuitive"... "your choreography was quite well constructed, not to mention exciting and intensely physical".

Erin Winstead, teacher, dancer – "I enjoyed your style of movement both in dancing and as an audience member".

Bob Barboza, muscian - "I gained a great appreciation for all that is involved in dancing at the college and professional level. Hanh showcased a wonderful cross section of contemporary dance, jazz, and classical instrumental music. She provides experience for our children that they will remember all of their lives...She is great for the world of dance, kids, and adults involved in performing arts."

Chitoh Emetarom – "BAT: Rascals Raw Communication, this is one of my favorite pieces of your ever!!"

Keith Ian (Kip) Polakoff – Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs – CSULB
Hanh is clearly one of Southern California's up-and-coming choreographers...her organizational skills are considerable, and she has a fine eye for detail...she will bring a wealth of talent and an unflagging dedication to any assignment she receives."

Madeleine Hoang –  "...grace and versatility in unexpected and brilliant combinations…There is not a moment that your breath does not escape you... ..dynamic shifts in intensity...visually intelligent."

Will Arnold - Graphic Designer "String together like pearls, I really enjoyed myself and the choreography was stunning... it was quite transcendental. "
